Line 1 Renovation

Americas Engineers, Inc. completed a turnkey design build project for PGW that involved designing an entire robot cell. The redesigned cell included a servo driven conveyor and location system, 6 axis robot, vision system, and robot tooling.  The conveyor and location system positions the windshield to allow for the vision system and robot equipped with a pneumatic tooling arm to apply an attachment in a precise location.  Two variations of the tooling arm were designed and equipped with a pneumatic quick disconnect to allow for quick changing of the tooling arm.  This design allows multiple styles of windshields to be used on this line without needing addition conveyor sections.
