Evansville Arena (Ford Center)
Americas Engineers Project
Americas Engineers, Inc. joined a team of design firms alongside Populous (formerly HOK Sport Venue) in the design of the new Ford Center. AEI worked directly under M.E. Engineers, Inc. (Denver) and is responsible for the complete design of the Fire Protection System as well as the partial design of the Mechanical and Electrical Systems, mainly all the support & concession areas outside the bowl in the Event and Concourse Levels.
Solidifying the City of Evansville’s commitment to sustainability, AEI is part of the team to assure the Ford Center achieves LEED® Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
In addition, AEI participated in the Commissioning Phase of the project.
The 290,000 sq. ft. Evansville Arena facility was completed in November of 2011.
