Boat Ramps - Angel Mounds and Dog Town
Americas Engineers Project
Providing Safety for Area Boaters
Americas Engineers, Inc. was contracted by the City of Evansville’s Department of Parks & Recreation to oversee Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Project Management of the boat ramp replacement at Dog Town, located southwest of downtown Evansville along the Ohio River and Angel Mounds, located between Evansville and Newburgh.
The design called for the removal of the existing concrete at each ramp, pouring a 10’ section of concrete, the entire width of the ramp (70’) and (50’) respectively, and setting in place 50’ x 5’ wide pre-stressed concrete double tees that serve as the new ramp.
Our firm provided Project Management services by coordinating construction with the Florida contractor as well as the local contractor who provided and installed the patented ramp system.
